R33's were legal at one point because motorex did the crash test reports and s**t on it. But Big Bird (Yellow R33's nickname from TFAF) was illegal because the owner was trying to sell it and another r33 without vins to an undercover cop. He basically lied to the cop saying it can be registerable becuase it has a florida title blah blah blah and then the cop said f**k it he had them both seized. Set up the date with the judge and then they were sent to the crusher. R I P big bird.

So... the real question... How much does it cost to buy one of these and bring it in? I'm sure it gets taxed... or no?

That is true. Not sure if it's fully ok. Yet I remember when SCC had an Nismo R32 in a comp going from LA to Vegas.

California is more civilized when it comes to regulations about emissions, most of the emission laws from Europe originated in California.
I think they were the first state that required cars to be sold with catalytic converters. This post has been edited by Thor: Feb 14 2014, 12:22 PM |

America is nuts, we can have anything here. I don't see the problem anyway, as most Fords and GM cars you guys have are either european or australian imports/designed now or CKDs...
Plus throughout the past so many european cars and jap cars have been for sale over there. |
