Pretty much anything new from Chevy, since they went bankrupt, they're cheaply made. Or maybe not any more idfk. I was with my friend and his dad at a Chevy dealership and he was checking out a vette last year and he went to pop the hood and the f**king latch snapped off LOL. |

chris, the website is s**t and i can't post a topic, please post this in the jap vs domestic for me ^_^
QUOTE Yeah, I drive a ford. A spanish built, UK market Fiesta. 15 years old, can't get much more un-biased than that.
This site makes no sense, or valid points. I was just leafing through the design analysis area. Why choose all the ugliest cars that honda make? Also, you're almost entirely basing your arguments around how terrible japanese trucks are, and that american trucks are better. Well no s**t, the American market want trucks, the japanese need small cars, hence the company's are much better at creating small, economical fwd hatchbacks. American Trucks are better - Proven Toyota's suck - unjustified Another point, the ricers section. Not all honda drivers are out there to rice up their car with stickers and wings, theres quite a large number of tasteful import cars, in fact. i've seen way more nice imports modified than i have usdm cars, ironically, i've seen more 'ricers' based on your domestics, than on any other car. All Ricers are Hondas - Disproven The crash tests, you've got three videos of saturns there, where the score is 'unknown (probably 5 stars)', great one, nice, accurate research there pal, well done. I also noticed how you didn't bother posting any videos of imports, is that because when put next to the others, they looked much better? Crash Test Videos - unfinished And the failures that you were harping on about with the recalls, one thing all the cars had in common? USDM. only the American built toyota's got recalled, the rest of the world didn't have a problem. Major Toyota Recall - America can't build cars properly And finally, you are American, correct? you are going to support your country, Japan would do the same, there's probably a website called chevysares**t.jp. To get a truely un-biased view, go to europe, where people drive cars because they're good at what they do. Driving on British streets, i can tell you that Ford is the best selling car in britain, But the Spanish built, UK designed fords. Following that are your french and german stuff, with loads of Japanese material in between. I've only ever seen two American cars on my roads, and thats a Ram SRT-10, and a 300c. Between japansese and 'domestics', according to the rest of the world, the japanese are miles ahead of you guys. |

That whole site kind of makes me laugh. They're so ignorant, that I would probably rather get hit by a car than try to try to have an intelligent conversation about cars with them. Some of the guys going in there and trying to argue with them that are completely biased for imports and against domestics don't really help though, because they're just as one sided as those idiots.
I would consider myself one of the most unbiased people I know when it comes to cars. I own/drive/work on a honda and a subaru. I work on and race a chevy camaro. I've worked on and driven a ford taurus, dodge neon, 350 sb buick regal, chevy nova, and many other cars. I've actually done a small engineering internship with ford motor company, and I just interviewed for another at chrysler corp. And All I can really say is that just about every car company produces great cars. While some may have their flaws, they work on fixing them and improving them constantly. I saw somewhere on there that some guy posted something about how when people started buying imports, people in america that worked on domestics started losing jobs and that is the reason for the poor economy here. That's one of the biggest loads of bull ever. I know that many japanese companies, including toyota and honda hire a good amount of engineers in america and do a fair share of their engineering for certain cars here. Many parts and cars are produced here in america. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure those are all creating jobs here, not taking them away. Many mechanics work specifically in the import field and are just as qualified if not more than a lot of domestic only mechanics. And the best mechanics can work on anything and know that imports are of great quality. I also know that a lot of american domestic cars are outsourced to other countries, so buying them doesn't really support the american economy any better than buying imports. Not to mention, my civic still gets 40 mpg on the highway. It's 18 years old with 120k miles on it, it's slightly modified, and it still competes with many of the american cars from the 2000's on fuel economy. I'd say that's well engineered and well build right there. And I've worked on both a chevy motor and a honda motor inside and out, and all I can say is the attention to detail on the honda motor is much greater than the chevy. The biggest thing of all that irritates me about that site is that the owner said something about trashing any import you see or something like that. That's destruction of property, just like keying someone's car, and that pisses me off more than anything. People that think it's alright to go out and intentionally inflict damage on any other person's car deserves to serve jail time with a big hillbilly cellmate named bubba. |

I agree, they're stupid, I like both cars, I don't go around saying Hyundais and Sangy- wait yes I do.
Except the Genesis. Toyota Sucks! - Home www.freewebs.com Do you hate or like Japanese cars? Are you unsure what to think? Find out why Imports are ruining our lives, and may even cause a depression. I posted on facebook, and look at the description, they have to be joking right? Quite an inactive forum. This post has been edited by DLuZive: Feb 14 2011, 08:33 AM |

The Japanese cars are better than the American versions, but the American versions are way better than the Chinese versions. this CDM Buick begs to differ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toung.gif) (IMG:http://www.mazdaautosinfo.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Buick-Park-Avenue-2.jpg) |
