I'm thinking about doing this to my RA:
(IMG:http://clubralliart.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10139/0920100754c.jpg) A little EvoX style blacking out. I'd probably leave the emblem chrome though. Not too sure if I would carry it down onto the lip like that or not... just to refresh your memory, this is how it looks now: (IMG:http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs041.snc4/34391_440681359354_508514354_5331009_2084335_n.jpg) |

this would be with just the chrome ring made black... excuse the wrong color and the tuning on the rest of the car. only focus on the grille (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Okay, I'm going to paint the grille and fender trim black. My first mod because it can't hurt the warranty :3
now just need to find time to do it. Andrew, no clutch pedal. I don't think you could have a pedal with twin clutches... what would that be? two pedals? lol Once my warranty expires I will do more. I've ditched the Enkei RPF1 idea... the 18"s look small because of how much lip those wheels have... and 19" wheels are just ridiculous... both in price and fitment. I'm planning on getting these wheels: (IMG:http://dudesphotography.smugmug.com/Cars/Torque-on-Detail-Addicts-EVO-X/IMG0108/779736029_JJc9n-M.jpg) Rota Torques Basically Work Emotion CR-Kai knock offs, but they come in nicer colors such as the above picture, which is the color I want :3 Those are 18" in the pic and they don't look near as small as the 18" Enkei's because the spokes go all the way to the edge of the lip. mine won't be that concave though because the ralliart has shallower wheel wells (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) They would look more like this: (IMG:http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f175/striklymyn69/wheels.jpg) Flatter, but still nice They are also a heck of a lot cheaper, like $150 less per wheel, if not more. I want to get a mild drop, maybe like an inch or something. I'm still looking for comfort and not f**king up my lip on everything, just a nice(er) stance. |

No Recaros thankfully... every review I saw for them said they were horribly uncomfortable and are unadjustable. Basically would be the kind of seats you would put in at the track only. They said it was a bad idea to put them in a production car, especially one thats supposed to be more practical then the EVO. Good thing it was just an option (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Andrew, I was talking about the flatness of the spokes, not the stance. On the pic of the evo, the rim spokes curve inward. on the mazda3 they are more flat and flush with the outside of the rim. If I got those wheels, they would look more like the mazda3's wheels because the fenders aren't deep enough to support that much concave. The EVO is a widebody car so you can shove like 9.5 inch wide wheels in there with +20 offset. |

not really. there is some chrome over the fenders, but that looks dumb too and I was going to make it black as well. other then that, just the window trim and emblems.
Wheel fitment recommended by tire places for my car: 5x114.3 bolt pattern 18"X8" +48 offset I would like to get 18X8.5 +40 or +44 offset or something close to that... I might end up with 18X8.5 +48 instead and just use spacers or something because its hard to find offsets between 38 and 48 |
