Well, I am bored and losing motivation currently so lets share some cars!
Got stationed in Washington State. Bought a red 2002 VW VR6. The kid was going through the process of converting it to look like a R32. Sadly that car did not last long. (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/Wkjjkp5/268120-10150319950924612-3822221-n.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/T2qYxCP/278673-10150319953574612-5922875-o.jpg) Ended up rolling it into a ditch. Let the tow yard take the truck. Then took out a loan to get a 04.5 PG GLI. Originally looked like this... (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/ZGQxRgL/551651-10150992760219612-1411991117-n.jpg) Eventually she went on coilovers, wheels, shaved the trunk, fixed the s**t exhaust, flashed the ECU with a Gonzo stg 2+, OEM bra...etc etc (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/34vCkjR/1185396-10151925578644612-307078843-n.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/4K33TYb/734360-10152016763214612-1907757509-n.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/gDwx1NQ/1395393-10152016764459612-9852383-n.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/cctHjnS/10345552-10153007400674612-6775639442251025824-n.jpg) Then she ended up with that. On the annual Leavenworth trip my fuel tank spanked the road and let a hole in it. Was able to make it through the trip and then back home. Car sat while I tried to find ways to fix it vice just getting a replacement for it. Long story short. Moved to VA. Got a divorce. Ex wife got the car and it ended up looking like this before she sold it. (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/x502yZp/1384341-10152044271624612-1028956547-n.jpg) |

Went from that to me picking up a full black leather interior for it, fixin' the air setup, getting rid of the A pillar gauge, doing some maintenance items, replacing some broken items, OEM GTI bra, OEM R32 front bumper, 3pc HRE wheels etc etc
(IMG:https://i.ibb.co/rb0tzNM/Random-4185.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/3mjd2TL/Random-4187.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/cthHyQc/Random-4188.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/fkq0075/Random-4540.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/NCRNMW2/Random-4766.jpg) (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/BCsyJr9/Random-4779.jpg) In one of the pictures you will see a 03 GS300. Got that with a blown head gasket. Was going to just replace the head gasket and do a GTE swap but things happen and plans change. Car was parted out and the GTI was sold. With that money I bought a non running 1987 GTI for $400USD. Immaculate condition. Sold that motor and trans as well as the strut bars to make money off my purchase. Currently still in the process of swapping a VRT in it. I have everything to include 2 VR6s, PTE 6266, dual 044 pumps and -8AN hoses, VR6 subframe, 5 lug swap, turbo manifold etc etc. I have everything except, wiring harness, WG, FMIC, BOV, ECU, injectors. Currently, one of the blocks is getting dissassembled so it can go to the machine shop for a simple decking and hot tanking. Once it is back then it will get new ARP hardware, new gaskets/seals, hardware all around etc etc. Those pictures will be up in a day or so. (IMG:https://i.ibb.co/YL91qMy/Jetta2-0.png) This is the current daily/the wifes daily. 2019 GLI autobahn. 6spd manual. The picture is a photoshop of what she and I plan on turning it into however I used the car to photoshop. The car is just stock. This post has been edited by Mathew: Jun 3 2020, 06:20 PM |
