My dad's car is now for sale, see the link for all details and loads of pictures. I doubt anyone on PCA themselves will be able to afford to insure/fuel this car so if anyone's got any relatives or friends who'd be interested send 'em our way |

Hm, I'm trying to think actually. Believe it was his 2006 Nissan Navara he had from new for 3 years. So yeah, that one, when he replaces this he'll be on his fourth car of 2011, like a boss!

it seems so common now days. people don't keep cars for very long. I know a kid, he's 18 now i think and he's had an eg civic coupe, an ek civic coupe, an ef civic sedan, an integra, a civic wagon, a audi s4 a 240sx, and now an audi s6 wagon. all since turning 16.
I've had my civic since december 2005 though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toung.gif) |

Yeah, well in my dad's defence he'd keep it if work was better. That guy's car history sounds sick, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly jealous.
Awesome that you've had your Civic so long though, I've got it into my head that I don't want to ever sell my first car, whatever it may be, because there's a high chance it'll be worth next to f**k all if I were to sell it, so I can just keep it on the drive, probably pissing my dad off somewhat |

haha. yep, i don't plan on selling my civic either. When I get my degree and a full time job, I plan to buy a new daily once i have the money and then the transformation will really begin for my civic. I plan to build it into a track and show car then, but still keep it somewhat street legal. My goals are something like sub 1800lbs and around 250whp N/A when that happens.

I've had my civic since december 2005 though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toung.gif) cars today just arn't build like they used to be. growing up we had 2 1970s Chevy Trucks, and some 90s and now a 2000s truck. the 70s where vertualy indestructable and if they did break big deal fix it yourself in an afternoon. now you can barely tough a car without it disentigrating (IMG:style_emoticons/default/gasp.gif) let alone making it do any real work... |

all of the cars were perfectly fine when he sold them. he just got bored of them.
except the Integra. He totalled that one. It did 5 end over ends. and it was a true gsr with a jdm type r front. (IMG:http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/45916_131042040276023_100001106829763_160508_4041452_n.jpg) I was extremely pissed when i heard about that one. |

it's more that people don't take care of cars like they use to. people take them for granted now and expect them to stay tip top shape with no upkeep.
