As some of you on Facebook may have noticed, i've started raising money for Cancer Research UK, by allowwing people to sign my car for a minimum of £1 donation. In two days, i've already made over £30 from about twelve people, some of which donating more than £5.

If you would like to contribute, please send any donation via paypal to curtisrosselliott@gmail.com, and i get your name on the car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

Thank-you to all that get involved, and I hope to see some good donations.

Also, for anyone interested, my facebook will be constantly updated with photos and info about the car, Search for Curtis Ross Elliott

When I get my MR2, I was planning on letting people use paint pens on the wing just because. But maybe I'll do something like this, because that would be awesome.

Also, I'm not sure what the transfer rate is right now, but I'll probably do $5USD or something once I get the chance. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

Like this s**t, but life-saving:

Kuba, i've edited my first post
Ben, f**k yeah!
Bryce, yeah thats pretty much the original idea i had with chalk, but a) chalk would run in the rain, and (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) getting one silver pen is a helluva lot cheaper than a full set of colours, esp. for a student

Definitely, but I still think it's worth it. Especially in America, people are cheapskates, and if it's not fun enough, they won't bother to participate.

You don't need to help by donating to him. You could set out and do something like this yourself. But either way, it's the thought that counts. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif) Sort of....

quick update, i have just had an e-mail from my local paper, hoping to do a photoshoot in the near future, so that should increase the publicity ten fold. Also, i will be attended FITP, hopefully on display there, so if anyone wants to donate there rather than via paypal, that would be awesome!

Also, for those of you on facebook, search for Perry the Fiesta does his bit for charity, and you should find a facebook group with a constant feed on how he's doing, how much money we've raised, etc.

Cheers everyone for your support (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

Have you contacted Jalopnik about this? They seem to like heartwarming stories, and this one would fit right in.

Some bastards broke into the car last night. Got in, the door was open, but the alarm must've gone off as the left with nothing.

got a bit more back story now. In the lock-up where the car is kept, is a lot more expensive equipment, including a Snap-On trade van, which was the thieves target. 6 figures worth of stuff was nicked, and the thieved hotwired a motorhome that was also in the lockup to kart the loot out of there. It can only be assumed that they tried to use my car as a getaway vehicle, but got into the motorhome first. Although for some reason, they removed all of the wiring from the battery as well as ripping the alarm speaker box out, presumably to shut it up. I found this out after trying to pick up the missus, and the car wouldn't start.

Basically i got off pretty lightly by comparison. A few new locks and possibly an alarm.

never ending story...

Perry's dead. Had a heart attack on the motorway last night. i was on the side of the road from 10:45 till about half 2.

Hopefully should be able to source a new engine (possibly a 1.3) for under £150
