I thought this would be good for some friendly competition.

Who's car on here is the fastest?

Post up your dyno sheets, drag slips, or even just estimates.

My car: 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart

According to stock statistics for my car... and considering my car is indeed stock. I am putting out somewhere between 220-240 HP. A lot of cars have more then that, but my car really shines because of its transmission. An electronically controlled twin clutch AWD transmission. My car shifts so fast that you never even hear my blow off valve open while gunning it = no loss of boost while gunning it.

This allows my car to run 0-60 in 6 seconds and a 1/4 mile of just over 14 seconds, pretty good for a heavy car with only 230 HP.

Wiki:
1.9 TD, Diesel
output: 75 PS (55 kW; 74 hp) @4200 rpm
torque: 150 N·m (110 lb·ft) @2400−3400 rpm
0-100: 15.1sec
top: 165 km/h (103 mph)

Dyno coming up after the winter, doing it at school smile2.gif
The top I still need to test, hit up to 160km/h, was @4500 rpm
0-100 also not tested, going to do when the winter is over to smile2.gif

Nizzy doesn't count toung.gif he's not active any more.

1/8 mile ET of 7.9 seconds at about 86-88 mph
Estimate 1/4 mile from 1/8 mile should be around 12 seconds

Car weight about 3500lbs

my car- 0 to 60 in..... depends how strong you are and how fast you can run.

Posted by: DLuZive Dec 2 2010, 10:02 PM

It won't make it toung.gif

My estimate is 670bhp, 1200lbs, and 69000ft/lbs of torque. But of course it's just a guess.
I run 1/4s on the 14 mile.

Posted by: Angrybooger2 Dec 3 2010, 12:15 AM

back in 79 my car was putting out
95hp at the crank along with 122lbs of tourqe.
but now with 345,XXX miles on it i have no idea hahaha.
and i can't find a stock 1/4 test anywhere.

Posted by: _Kevin_ Dec 3 2010, 12:21 AM

well the ol' v12 is putting out about 560hp, weighs about 2900. pretty heavy. the cross tranny has larger ratios for higher rpms. does a 1/4 in about 8.01 sec and the mile in 7.2.
its an ok car I guess

Posted by: DLuZive Dec 3 2010, 12:30 AM

wut. my dad's car go 0-60km/h in 2.1 seconds. slow right? My uncle goes to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds. and my car. it goes when ever i want.

O_o wtf do you have?

And Jred... I thought your Camaro would be much faster, 2 seconds faster then my car in the 1/4 mile? c'mon! lol

Posted by: DLuZive Dec 3 2010, 04:21 AM

2 seconds is everything. my uncle's only goes 12 seconds too. but his is stock... it's an LS3

Very cool, 1969 chevrolet camaro 954 hp

2 seconds is a whole lot more than just 2 car lengths at that speed. Figuring that your car would probably hit the finish line a bit under 100 mph, 2 seconds means about 140 to 150 feet at that speed.
And it's just an estimate because the car has never actually ran on a 1/4 mile. Looking at similar cars with similar 1/8 miles it should actually be a little under 12 hopefully.

My engine is only a 350 cu. in. engine. it's not really that big of an engine. The LS3 is 376 cu. in. and comes stock at something like 420 or 430 hp. LS engines are electronically fuel injected and tuned up with a bunch of other newer technologies. My engine is much older. with a carburetor instead of efi. Back then these engines stock ranged anywhere from 160hp to 270hp.

No bryce, that's plain offensive.

Now go and drive "your" focus.

Posted by: .ecyrB Dec 5 2010, 06:13 PM

How is that offensive?

Posted by: Hellrazr Dec 5 2010, 06:16 PM

But where people see to forget that it all comes down to Power to Weight Ratio if your ride is under power and wight down by the chassis you ride is not going to performer as good

Posted by: .ecyrB Dec 5 2010, 11:00 PM

That's only part of it. It also needs grip and responsiveness and all that.

Posted by: Ben.H Dec 5 2010, 11:17 PM

Well my Fiesta doesn't do 60mph, it has a top speed of 0mph and so far it's taken at least 3 months for it to do a 1/4 mile.

My dad's car on the other hand, back in '98 that had around 300bhp, a 0-60 time of 4.8, a top speed of 145mph, and I dunno the 1/4 mile time.

That is all taken into account for with 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, and top speeds.

Posted by: Mkid Dec 6 2010, 07:12 PM

Yeah, thats why I prefer looking at that stuff.

Track times are also really good to look at (this is top gears method) as they also take into account handling, but the problem with handling is that it GREATLY depends on the conditions and the tires. You'd have to run two cars with the same quality tires with the same tread on the same day to get a fair comparison. Then again, I suppose the same could be said for straight line tests, but not quite as drastic of a difference.

this thread does not deserve to die gasp.gif

erm my s14 does 0-60 mph in a bit over 7 seconds, probably a tad under 7, vmax is at around 140-150mph and 1/4? i have no idea, since i dont have a local dragstrip, but im guessing around 14-15s or so

Posted by: ChevyRacer454 Jan 1 2011, 07:24 PM

I lost. toung.gif

rigth now my fasted thing can only hit 45, and if I had a car I would likely have gotten a Jeep, and those arn't fast.

Danial it's probably 100kph wink.gif not mph
