Plus a showroom topic for everyone toothygrin.gif

Posted by: Andrew Nov 9 2010, 01:24 AM

dude why a showroom?

thats basicly the tuned cars section

if u tune cars for being a coolkid and get famous then u are doing it wrong

keep pixelcars fun

Posted by: _Kevin_ Nov 9 2010, 01:36 AM

before I +1 because I like it I have a question, what do you mean
PCA Head Desk
*Tuned cars

and then later down you have tuned and stock cars.

other than that I actually like it and think it would work

Posted by: Gilf Nov 9 2010, 01:50 AM

No a showroom would be where each member has a topic woth all his tunes smile2.gif like a portfolio

Posted by: Mkid Nov 9 2010, 01:53 AM

You can already do that on your profile "my content" section just no one uses it.

Posted by: Andrew Nov 9 2010, 01:58 AM

WHRES "MY CONTENT" toung.gif

no really where is it?

we seriously need to change forum lay out

Posted by: Mkid Nov 9 2010, 02:12 AM

its in every users profile! lol. go into my profile, you'll see my content... i haven't put anything in there either tho. lol

Posted by: Andrew Nov 9 2010, 02:18 AM

oo yeah mike i can see your content now toung.gif

Posted by: Mkid Nov 9 2010, 02:21 AM

you mean my not content? lol. mines empty

Posted by: Faяaп. Nov 9 2010, 02:23 AM

I just realised what thats for.... dry.gif

yes omfg, use that. gasp.gif so clever

Posted by: ChevyRacer454 Nov 9 2010, 02:54 AM

Shoutbox stays at the top... I thougth we've been over this befor and it's at top so noobs can find it and ask for help, also it keeps the place active PCFs shoutbox is dead because it's at the bottom DEAD I SAY!!!

also you're proposal is perty confusing. the post a hot girl topic is it's own forum now? PCA head? 2 places for pixelcar tunes but no stock car section? and what on earth is a Medium forum?

Posted by: Andrew Nov 9 2010, 02:59 AM

meduim = media

we need the shoutbox at the bottom so peps and newbies can focus on pixel cars

n00bs can read the rules and check tuts for help

again

shoutbox

we should make like this some sort of topic when all of us can discuss about a possibly new forum lay out

Posted by: Faяaп. Nov 9 2010, 03:00 AM

PCF HAS A f**kIN SHOUTBOX!?

where the f**k have i been for 4 years.
idk anything lol

never noticed it. i guess that why its better on top

Posted by: Andrew Nov 9 2010, 03:01 AM

exactlythat reason newbies cant spam it
or use it as searchbox

Posted by: ChevyRacer454 Nov 9 2010, 03:11 AM

then just call it the media forum gasp.gif

noobs will still flub up no matter where the shoutbox is you know this rigth?

shoutbox stays up top and that's final.

Posted by: ChevyRacer454 Nov 9 2010, 03:42 AM

you mean facepalm.gif

updates will come eventualy until then hold you're horsepower. starting 2+ topics on the subject aint gonna make it come any quicker.

Posted by: Mitch. Nov 9 2010, 04:08 AM

we should just change the names for forums and stuff like make the tuned cars topic called 'show-off - show off your tuned cars!' or somthin like that

IMO, changing the layout won't really have a huge effect on much. It works pretty well the way it is right now. If anything, I say we should focus more on updating the look of the forum rather than the layout. Examples: new banner, new background, new icons for the forums (this thing ), and many other things...

For the most part, I think the layout should stay generally the same though. When you move stuff around like that, you pretty much would have to recode a lot of the site and there's a good chance some things wouldn't work the same afterwards and some threads could get lost in the shuffle.

Regardless of what happens, if you want to make changes, you have to understand that most things can't just happen over night. Changes require a lot of work, time, effort, a certain level of know-how.

Eric has me hostage

He demands these things be done, or he'll chop of my everything

PLEASE, I love my everything, don't let it get chopped off in vain...

But really, many people I've tried to introduce to the forum said the layout was, well, bad

Posted by: J.red Nov 9 2010, 03:31 PM

What didn't they like about it?

Posted by: Mkid Nov 9 2010, 04:04 PM

Really? This forum actually works very well compared to most other forums I've been to.

Posted by: Gilf Nov 9 2010, 04:13 PM

the graphics of PCA are getting dated. things like the Fast reply button and such are standard issue Invisionbored buttons.

the banner, has been discussed time and time again... unless one is made we're likely not going to get a new one. a couple new ones would be nice to. maybe set to a random image generator or something.

Posted by: DLuZive Nov 11 2010, 05:43 AM

hey I know forums that do that it is cool.
