Pixel Car Art _ Help and Support _ Crediting

Posted by: Maddog_256 Apr 22 2009, 11:30 PM

I always seem to come across people who have stuff in their sigs that they didn't make, yet there is no credits. Whats the best of solving this? One member in particular I have told twice about putting credits in.

Just asking the mods about the best way to go about this. Perhaps reporting a single post of anyone who is at fault? Idk but it irritates me muchly and i'm not even the person not being credited!

Just thought I would throw this out there.

cheers,

Winnie

Very cool, I might have accidentally taken out the credit's of my car in my sig.. when I changed some writing in it. But I WILL FIXER IT< and I'm pretty sure, as long as you put credit's in the Post your Signature topic, or whatever, you can use it without credits..

Yeah i was just talking about all the people who are using all random parts from whomever they feel like, and having no credits in their sig

EBERYTHING is by me, except the lamb is from some game, but they allow them to be used :u and bas is KYLE I WILL ADD NOW

Me, as well as a lot of other people, use a really light shade of grey to credit, so it really can't be seen unless you look close enough.

I don't think people care as much about sigs. its not like it says anywhere in the sig that it is all yours, unlike how a topic implies.

For the sake of cleaner looking signatures and avatars, i think it has taken a backseat, I don't even think some pro's credit that stuff cuz they want it clean.

It doesn't really bother me

i don't see much wrong with sigs lacking credits.

adding credits could make the signature big and messy and it may get annoying to others, just as super big signatures can get annoying.

I'm just saying that if someone had a car in their sig covered in other peoples parts, it would be nice to see some credits in the picture too. Doesn't make the picture any bigger.

but it would make it uglier biggrin.gif

i get Maddog's point, as i always credit in my Signs or Ava's, if not made by me.
but yeah, it gets messy and big, if you do that.

yes is the cor in your avaturd a full pixel?

Posted by: addict Apr 29 2009, 03:01 AM

Hmmm - to me any tune you have should have credits *somewhere* Not always on the pic, but *somewhere* you should be highlighting the fact that you may have simply stolen a whole lot of work and slapped it together and claimed it as your own.

This said, I have a proposal I'll run past staff to get some feedback, then I'll let you know... biggrin.gif

what if it is a 0 cred tune.
say i decided i was to tune my ferrari base, and put one of my rims on, that would be 0 credits.
so not every tune should have credits.

sorry if im a little bit of a pessimist to you guys but ask my maths teacher that is how i am.
she says of there can only be whole people and i then come back with what if you get cut in half with a chain saw. tongue.gif (actually happened the other day).

Credit yourself before someone steals your work and claims it as their own wink.gif It also stops the fights of "you stole my tune" because by rights the person doing the stealing should be crediting you. It works both ways wink.gif
