But where people see to forget that it all comes down to Power to Weight Ratio if your ride is under power and wight down by the chassis you ride is not going to performer as good

That's only part of it. It also needs grip and responsiveness and all that.

Well my Fiesta doesn't do 60mph, it has a top speed of 0mph and so far it's taken at least 3 months for it to do a 1/4 mile.
My dad's car on the other hand, back in '98 that had around 300bhp, a 0-60 time of 4.8, a top speed of 145mph, and I dunno the 1/4 mile time. |

Yeah, thats why I prefer looking at that stuff.
Track times are also really good to look at (this is top gears method) as they also take into account handling, but the problem with handling is that it GREATLY depends on the conditions and the tires. You'd have to run two cars with the same quality tires with the same tread on the same day to get a fair comparison. Then again, I suppose the same could be said for straight line tests, but not quite as drastic of a difference. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)
this thread does not deserve to die (IMG:style_emoticons/default/gasp.gif) erm my s14 does 0-60 mph in a bit over 7 seconds, probably a tad under 7, vmax is at around 140-150mph and 1/4? i have no idea, since i dont have a local dragstrip, but im guessing around 14-15s or so |

I lost. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toung.gif)
rigth now my fasted thing can only hit 45, and if I had a car I would likely have gotten a Jeep, and those arn't fast. Danial it's probably 100kph (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) not mph |
