I'm sure lots of you will already know of Bug Selecta, Bus Selecta etc, but recently I've found a few spin-offs of other cars. So I thought I'd make a thread to keep all the links and post what we made. For those who don't know what a "Selecta" is, it's a program that shows a cartoon side view of a car and you can put mods on it. I'm s**t at explaining so look for yourself

Bug Selecta
Bus/911/Type 3 Selecta
Mini Selecta
Polo Selecta
Trabi Customiser
Autobianchi A112 Selecta

There was a SICK Citroen 2CV one too but I can't find a working link (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I wonder how hard it'd be to make one, we could have one as a PCA project or something. Anyway here's a few I did in Polo Selecta

I always thought about making something like this but for pixel cars. I don't think it would be very hard to do and would probably keep our noob requests low because they could somewhat make it themselves with limited effort. lol

Thanks for finding these man. The cars aren't really hard to draw Ben, if we get someone who knows how to do the programming all you have to do is outline cars in ps/gimp/flash, and shade them in. I used to make things like this all the time haha.

But a more realistic way to do that many cars would be to put it in the same selecta, with an option to choose the car, then it could break down into each model.

also,

Y U NO rx7 selecta? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

and also can we post the ones we've made in here? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)

Course we can post them in here, that's partly why this thread's here lol, the more pictures the merrier.

For real though I'd love to get involved with making something like this, however my computer related art skills are minimal (Read: Non-existant), however we could have the designers and let's call them, researchers? People who find parts, trim levels, all the little nitty gritty details and aftermarket parts?

Do you reckon you could make a few variants of a Mk1 Ford Fiesta in the same style as those?
