Lock a thread that was on the first page of the section? Regardless of age, if it wasn't at least on the second page by however long, the forum obviously doesn't move enough for it to be a distraction.

This just never made sense to me, so I'm curious as to why someone would do it...

If you look at the dates towards the bottom of the first page, they go to the 11th

This thread was bumped from the 14th, making it not even the bottom of the first page, yet it was closed...

I can't speak on behalf of who closed it, but it might simply be because all the pats on the back stopped, then just randomly it was bumped. Yes, it would have been on the first page still, but bumping it was kind of meaningless.

I would put something to you though - is there a point in allowing people to reply in the "completed" stock or tuned sections? I mean, you're not after CnC, you're actually releasing the tune for people to look at and/or use, so it's only ever pats on the back or some unwanted CnC any way (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I assume it's because of the bump it's closed. You're back near the top of the page so it'll be another 3 or 4 months until it gets pushed to the second page.

That, and if we sort all tunes by manufacturer or whatever at some point, it'll be easier to find your tune (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well I do look for CnC on my bases so I can change issues in later bases to make them overall easier to tune, I'm not out for pats on the back, lol

This has just always bugged me in slower moving forums and now that I had an example to demonstrate I figured I'd bring it up

Topic is reopened with the last two posts removed - as it should be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I wasn't trying to be a smart arse with my post sorry, it was a genuine question about why you consider "completed" to what you might consider WIP. Otherwise we may as well just have Stock and Tuned sections, then everyone's work is a WIP until they change the thread title to "completed" or "released" or something (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I believe the thread was closed because of bumping, and no matter how slow a topic may be, bumping (like how it was done here) is usually frowned upon.
