atm I have a 9T brushless setup lel stock gears, and theyre getting shredded to s**t, I don't drift a big area so a smaller cheap motor is better, so I'm gunna be running a 20T brushed motor, its like 40GBP and spare motors are like 10GBP, so I'm not fussed on burning them out lel, gunna buy two more chassis', one to modify for RWD and another for a mate so I have a tandem buddy lel

Well i never tried my setup with out, but on my old Ezrun 9T combo it improved my sliding time x 3 and the power x 2.

So basicly yes.
