This user is banned. Spambots have either got smart and can key in authentication codes and validate their emails, or this guy spent a whole lot of time sending PM's... If he manually did it that's dedication!

Thanks to everyone who reported this and the staff who jumped on it straight away. On the weekend I'll IP ban him as well.

So, as it turns out, some bastards are signing up manually, then running scripts to mass PM - so it's a human behind it using some code to do it. We'll introduce some flood control on the PM system (as released as part of our Invision licence) but please note, this simply slows them down, it won't stop them. So if you see suspicious behaviour please let staff know immediately so we can block their account.

This thing was a pain in the arse - I received over 10,000 emails on the server notifying me of emails that couldn't be sent to members! lol

With PM flood control on, how am I supposed to PM hundreds of thousands of people instantly?

At two minutes in between PM's it would take me the next 139 days nonstop to send all the PM's I need to get out about clicking fun things and giving me money...
