Then we started getting into it.

Since then I have fixed my sunroof so it works all the time, painted my speedo and tach needles and alterd the LCD displays, my Euro bumper is going for paint and I'm looking for the Euro rear and hatch, I bought s**tty sleeve over coils and I'm doing all the rust checking. I'll update more as the parts roll in. Hoping to have my stickers and yellow headlight paint by next week along with my white and tex euro bumper

I also forgot, I replaced the original 1.8 head when I bent 6 valves in the old one, 91,000km and the belt stripped all the teeth *anger* and I have a whole new exaust on order since my crappy Canadian Tire fix didn't hold and snapped at the cat... argh!

I'm also lining up a 1.8 16V head and have a line on a few 1.8T's and a VR6

My buddy picked up a 99 MK3 Jetta TDI last night and its the same colour as my car, miiggghhtttt be swapping front ends with him this weekend Jolf and then Volf here I come!

I'm going through about a liter of oil a month now and I'm almost certain I messed my allignment up bad and blew a strut bearing the other day hitting a small lake with a fault line under it on the way to school haha
Next on the list:
-Front end check
-Oil change
-Buy alot and alot of Flat green paint
-Fix or find proper front seats (new seat bottoms tilt on left hand turns)
The keen eye will notice the hair net on my licence plate

Just some updates: Painted the front and rear bumpers to match the textured strips on the doors, did an oil change and installed a shifter from a late 80's Dodge Dakota 
The beats in winter storage now and I'm slowly taking the interior apart and making new wireing harnesses to run an all LED dash, I also have the OEM foglights split open so I can paint the glass yellow and hopefully have them in by spring! More updates as the weather warms up or if I can get the car into the garage for a few days

That shifter makes everything soo much better! Except reversing... I cant actually have both hands turning the wheel without hitting it out of reverse...
I have the coils in the garage I just have to find a nice not -26C day to pull the car into the garage and take the suspension apart to throw them in, should give it a good bit of low before I really start hacking at the strut assemblies hehehehe

I would be happy with +10C every day... at least then I dont worry about things like frost bite or that time I got my lip stuck to a lugnut.... ouchy. But we usually get 22C+ from about June to mid September so I can't complain too too much
Plus I hate when my glasses frost up, makes working outside just a pain in the arse

VR6 Lip with mad crazy low, might as well be a gas shovel ESPECIALLY here
Alex: It's alot of just exerior and interior bits (Euro is smaller bumpers, differant plate recesses and bumper rebars, differant switches in the interior, more options overall, US has bulkier stuff, more plastic and generally poorer build due to the Mexican parts)
US Stuff is desirable overseas, overseas stuff is desirable here

Duncan you can have mine if I can have your bus But seriously I got mine for $500 and it took another $300 and change to put it back on the road completely running so just keep browsing Craigslist or any other internet sites like that (I used Kijiji cause I'm in Toronto) and one will pop up
I saw a VR6'd MK3 GL last night for 900, it was a 4 door and it needed a new crackpipe but thats a HECK of a deal!

Ever thought of adjustable coil overs? Then you can just raise it in the winter. I plan to get them for my car just because the overall quality and performance is better then lowering springs.

I have adjustable coils but they are not of the highest quality (not the super sick coils with the struts already in them, just springs with adjuster tubes)

You can see the sleeves in one picture. These pictures are old cause alot of those parts are either in the car, thrown out, or waiting to be in/on the car PLUS everything out here is under snow and ice and as you can tell, that looks like August haha
