Use this thread to post some incredibly rare/one-off cars, could be factory prototypes, racing models etc. Please include info and a back story if possible. An example to get the ball rolling
Lamborghini Countach Turbo
(IMG:http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6210/6094621758_0cac38f10b_z.jpg) The Lamborghini Countach Turbo was an incredibly rare car only built twice from factory. The prototype is believed to have been lost/destroyed so the car pictured above is a true one of a kind. Some words taken from another forum QUOTE The 4,8 liter V12 with bi-turbo had a power output of 748 hp (!!!!) and 876 Newtonmeter. It managed to do 0-100 km/h in 3,7 seconds and kept going all the way up to 333 km/h. Beneath the steering wheel there is a turbo adjuster. It could be manually turned to boost the turbo from 0,7 bar to 1,5 bar at which the engine performed its maximum power output. (IMG:http://85.234.145.37/Remote0987632434287ghj/httpi81.photobucket.comalbumsj233rapster01Mycar.jpg) Made 211 of them, one for every Ford main dealer in the UK (I think), believed to be less than 30 still left in UK and Germany |

(IMG:http://nd03.jxs.cz/449/472/96960a004a_56332216_o2.jpg) Škoda Ferat (or Škoda Super Sport) It was sports prototype made by Škoda in 1971 from fiberglass, engine was 1,2 litres and gave 76kW of power and could go 216 kph. However, the company didn't approve it as productable car, so there is only one prototype that was used in movie Vampire from Ferat (that gave this car its name). (IMG:http://files.myopera.com/wolftuga/blog/cadillac-sixteen3.jpg) Isn't that gold car in the back rare too? Is that the Phaeton or something like that? (IMG:http://www.shorey.net/auto/american/gm/Cadillac/1959%20cadillac%20cyclone-04.jpg) "SOOO wish there where BPs for it... Kinda looks like the rear of an early Thunderbird? You could use the bp's for the Thunderbird and use ref pics to change some stuff up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toung.gif) |

1955 Lincoln Futura Original
(IMG:http://www.popsci.com/files/imagecache/photogallery_image/articles/lincoln-futura.jpg) Only 1 was hand crafted in Italy by Ghia with a cost of $250,000 in 1966 Ford Motor company sold it to Barris for $1, and Barris converted it into the Batmobile. (IMG:http://blog.carlist.my/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/597.jpg) 1 guy with the consent of Barris replicated the Batmobile, and then went on to covnert the batmobile replica into a lincoln Futura. The Original lincoln futura was convertted into the batmobile, so this replica of the lincoln futura is the only 1 in existence Lincoln Futura Replica, converted from a Batmobile replica (IMG:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/06/1955_Lincion_Futura_takenonmycamera_November_7th_2009.jpg) The latest appearance of the Futura, is a spin off called the Jefferson Futura in Mafia 2 (IMG:http://www.kamazoff.ru/images/m2cars/small/jefferson_futura.jpg) This post has been edited by Faяaп.: Aug 31 2011, 03:41 AM |
