Pretty much quoted this from ClubLupo

First up, this is Joey, Mk1 Arosa Sport (as we all know how huge the love is for mk1's over here ^_^)



£900 bargain, runs well, just a few little niggles here and there, busted fog light, airbag light etc... but £900 for a piece of motoring rarity is fantastic!



Drove him 2 hours from Crewe to Coventry via Birmingham, so he's gotten a bit mucky on the way!



I'm still yet to get used to how small, yet quick he is!



With great thanks to this little power house



As well as a few choice mods ^_^



This is Labyrinth the Lizard, his friends call him Larry, he'll be keeping an eye on Joey, make sure he's safe


Yeah this is a bought not built car, but i'm looking at it as more of a good starting point, for some nice touching up

ye, still could go alot lower but looks alright atm, id say egt rid of the ricey tail's and get a bumper with the exhaust on exiting on the left or right, it looks weird in the middle lol

@Mitch: i intend to lose those lights, they're from the later model of the arosa, i'd rather some http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3359/3643361282_69efe5c13e.jpg, genuine or otherwise. Also, the centre exit pipe is specifically made for the sport, and it'd be a pain in the balls to switch back to an offset pipe.

@Andrew: a number of reasons really. the long and short is that while we were defining a name, joey kept popping up between other names, it just had to happen

Those don't seem to be made specifically for cars, they may start to decay after awhile. I'm having that problem with a couple of stickers on my back window. Its worth a shot but don't get too attached because they may fall apart.

Looks like everything is starting to come together now I've worked out where the annoying exhaust rattle is coming from, I know exactly what I need to sort out this foglight, and I think i've worked out how the boot popper needs to be re-wired up.

Also, had a guy in an FTO try and be the big man at the lights. Sat next to him all the way up to 65 before I had to back off for traffic ahead, pulled in behind him and planted the throttle to catch up again. I'd have destroyed him if the missus wasn't saying she was so scared

idk if there legal (im making one for my 106 on tuesday really cant wait)
he tells me he hasnt been pulled over once and hes had it for about 3 months now i think. theres also a civic that has a straight pipe at my college and his is alot louder and hes never been pulled. so i would really worry about that.

it does sound really good and if you want to get noticed driving through town then dont second think it.

looks like a nice neat car and for £900 not bad either

Picking up my new alloys tomorrow ^_^ now, where a lot of people don't know what i'm getting, i'm giving you guys an exclusive look into my plans. Now, this is just a photoshop with some similar alloys, and its on a lupo, but its the same colour and the stance is very similar.


So here we are, my potential alloys



If all goes to plan, they will have a nice surprise to them, but that will have to wait

Great new tails man, I love them.

this is a personal preference, but what about bring bakc them badges and stuff? Cars like this always seems "empty" to me lol

Quick update, managed to replace the foglight finally, it looks weird now having one used fog and a crisp, shiny new one!

still yet to be fitted is the new gearknob, the old one appears to have been superglued in place, so i'll probably have to saw it off, unless anyone knows of a decent dissolving solution i can use to destroy the glue?

Got some paints as well to colour code the bumpers, and i'm still waiting for a decent day to get started on the alloys...

Cheers mike, i'll look into that.

Started sanding down the alloys, which has gotten rid of some kerb damage. Sanded the insides as well but i need to melt the glue holding the old wheel weights down so i can deep clean and paint.

Rear light is fully fixed down now, so no more rattling from there thank christ Centre pipe rattle has re-emerged, so i need to get some plumbing heatshield for that >.<

The baffle in the back box has come loose, so rattles while the engine is idling at cold, might need to replace that. (GTI Backbox anyone?)

Boot popper STILL needs to be re-wired, but the whole steering column shroud needs to come off for that i believe...

I may put in my old head unit purely for the extra features it has, but i need to cut and re-wire the power cable to the amp for that which is a ballache

The boot build is getting an overhaul, with the amp being put under the false floor as opposed to the back of the seat, and a hinged lid on the false floor to use as a toolbox to keep general repair tools

Also need to re-route the air filter as its just sucking in warm air from the block atm, so I need to get some piping for it towards the front of the car

its not a very powerful amp at all, and the heat it generates is next to nothing. i will make an air vent at the back to allow any hot air to escape, and it'll have a flip lid that wont be completely sealed, so air can escape through that as well.

Not driving for a few days atm due to a sudden influx of insane snow across the midlands (and the rest of the uk for that matter). The Asbo-mobile is enough of a handful in the dry let alone snow and ice

yeah.

Driving at ~11pm last night, i spotted a driver heading out of a give way crossroads just ahead of me. Having spotted him before he did me, i swerved out of the way and into the metal railings opposite. no damage incurred to the other car, by the time i got out he'd already gone. No colour, No plate, not even a goodbye.

Quite chuffed with how they sit in the arches, might grab some spacers after repairs have finished


A bit marmite are 3-spokes. I personally love them!

3 door it is Generally better of the two cars for sale, the silver 5 door had a few minor electrical problems.
