So with the Bug being incapacitated AGAIN, and starting to feel guilty about having to borrow my friend's Lancer for like nearly 4 months now; and after searching/waiting for an affordable/decent one to come up for well over 2 years... I've bought my (other) dream car!

She's not perfect, but the price was pretty good so can't really complain... but currently: 2 of the electric windows don't work; the steering wheel surround is sticky-taped on; the driver door is a bit dodgey opening and closing; there's quite a few pretty nice scratches and dents; there might be something up with the power steering; and last night after driving it around quite a bit it started to run a little rough when idling and accelerating, probably something to do with ignition circuit.

So once all those are fixed, (money and time permitting) I'm probably going to look at getting some coilovers and some cool wheels.

Will probably do the other trim panels soon, because it turned out better than I expected. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)

This weekend I undertook the dreaded heater core replacement job. I started at about 12pm on Saturday, and working until midnight, and then from about 9am the next morning, it wasn't until about 3pm on Sunday that we managed to actually remove the old one, which was leaking like a sieve. And then it wasn't until Monday morning that I finally managed to get it all back together.

The upside is the heater now works and is toasty warm! I also went and picked up some door trims to replace the ones that are busted, and Mr KV up there will be happy to see, a VR lip too! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)

I've also ordered some new custom licence plates, which are the Euro style ones with "VR 666". Unfortunately, unless you want to pay an extra $195 you have to have a Z on the end so it will actually be "VR 666Z".
