I think its a BDA witha YB head.

BDA, YB doesnt make a difference, either one would be mad sweet in a Puma.

BDA is v rare and expensive, plus wouldn'tbe enough for a puma

YB is powerful enough, but lots of money to get 300+

duratec have a good power band, weight and have a 2.5 block from the 2010+ ranger, so possible to get 300bhp N/A, turbo it and its almost endless. plus probably cost same as a 300bhp yb if you went full turbo on the dura

A YB these days is pushing 2k. Plus to fit a YB in a transverse car would be hell. I'd go with black top zetec on bike throttlebodies.

I need a YB in my cortina, but I think I'd just go with using the YB head on a pinto block. Much cheaper.

Had a change of heart and I've been spending some money on this recently which is amazing for me, I generally just drive cars until they die

(IMG:http://i61.tinypic.com/jav24l.jpg)
(IMG:http://i58.tinypic.com/iyd4x2.jpg)

It's recently had:

- Coil pack
- HT leads
- Spark plugs
- Fuel filter
- Air filter
- Oil filter
- Oil change
- Mass air flow sensor
- Two new front tyres
- Tracking
- Fresh 12 months MOT
- Headlight bulb
- Reverse light bulb
- Wiper blades

Doesn't seem a lot but it's a step in the right direction, I've sorted the running issues and it now runs very clean and strong all through the rev range, also drives a lot better thanks to the service, tyres and tracking

Next jobs I've got planned are:

- Replacement OEM backbox with a straight through centre section
- Cambelt change
- Rear axle bushes
- Wishbones and drop links on both sides
- Replace the driver's side rear fog light
- Wire up the subwoofer I've had lying around for a while
- Sort out the driver's side rear arch
- Tidy up the engine bay

Giving it a full polish and wax tomorrow to try and get some shine back into the paint, I feel like I'm giving this car a new lease of life, the last owner clearly didn't really look after it, I could tell that from the state of the wheels, tracking and filters, rough. So I'm pretty sure the cambelt hasn't been changed and that's overdue so that's high priority at the moment. Once all that's done mods will be:

- Powerflex bushes all around
- 40mm lowering springs with new shocks
- 6000k HIDs
- LED sidelights
- LED number plate lights
- LED interior lights
- LED smoked repeaters
- Get the wheels refurbed in black
- Some kind of splitter
- Some kind of small spoiler on the back
- Smooth the bootlid
- Might add some 'speed holes' in the front bumper for the jokes

Don't really plan on doing much engine wise other than maybe an induction kit or if anything interesting and worthwhile comes up for a good price, just keep on top of it and make sure it's in good order
