As i already asked, we could do some new lenguague packs to PCA, and everyone could help to translate the site to your lenguague(this not include the posts)

and i already asked it to Addict, we only need to know if he gives permission to use make it and how can we help it, thats why im posting this topic

yea language pack will change some main text... but it wotn do that good cuz noones post will be trasnlated.

but it could help some member who dont know much english, and i know, mny english is very bad, but only when i say, i can translate many things correctly

if there was some way to translate posts for the others then yes, we could all magically speak 23 different languages, cause to me this seems like a good idea

If you could get a built in translator like we have the built in imageshack then we wouldn't have a problem

Very cool, except translators suck, and most people who cant speak english already use a translator. They're ok for like somewords, but if you're going to type whole phrases its kind of pointless... and you should just learn the basics of the language, at least so you can give if its good or bad to the toons. But a selector for language so the forum was in like french or german would be cool.

exactly what HK sayid, and my idea was of people of PCA could help in it a lot to translate
EG: i can transalate to my lenguague, and someone who knows/is french could translate to french, etc

Basically, i would like to translate to my lengugue because of my frined, who dont know much english(he knows only the basic of the baisc of english)and is wanting to do pixelcarart, so if it has my lenguague it could be better to him understand some things(well, he will know where he need to place his tunes,parts, questions)

Yeah, I know they suck. But it'd be more convenient than having another open tab or window to translate.

I don't really see any other way to get posts in the other language

yeah that is true, but it would be in another tab anyway, wouldnt it? the image shack uploader thing is :I but cooooooooooool, maybe we can do it, and I think imageshack is kind of a "bad" uploader, it's really slow and hard for new members to properly upload weith it.

well, i dont think we can translate the psot, because of the mistakes and strange words, like: amidnhoiasfu(this means nothing), but to me, translate only the site, not the posts, is good

People will use the translator for what it is not meant.
Basicly it will be abused and tbh pca will be tragic

thats true.... but I mean if you know enough english or forum language to go on and at least say the toon looks good, the toon looks bad. If you cant understand what Terrazi is saying something is wrong... his english is good, he just gets the same problems everyone gets with plurals.

but the MAJOR problem of translation machine's and site's is that when you translate stuff, will will get the actually text you want to translate, because for some words in english we use other words in dutch
(im from holland)


nd iff you translate from english into dutch or dutch into english you get, that simple line of tekst completly messed up and it litterly translated it word by word, and it doesn't look at the centaince? idk how to write that and im not gonna translate that (haha)

so thats one major problem..

its better to leave it like this
because its gonna be alot of work to translate this whole site, there are 23908210371298389137,983439084 of words in the world and every word has like 3 of 4words that can be said in a diff langauge and it still will mean the same as the other word( like hello, or hi )
idk iff you understood that but iff you do, you get me
eventually we all learn to speak proper english that everyone can understand

my idea of translating the website(not saying I came up with it) is to make it be like an alternate skin, but with only worrd differences, of the main languages on this site, like probably dutch, spanish, french, german, maybe osme more, but they would habe to be major languages that peoble speak around here. otherwwise its too much work to get a translation for like Swahili.

okey, like HK sayid, i mean it was suposed to be like a skin, if you look at the bottom of the page, u will see:
PCA Skin - English
we could translate the site to other lenguagues, but no need on the posts, because like many people sayid, translators dont work well for theese things, maybe n ot this great idea, but think a bit, it will help soo much people who only know the basics of the english to understande the skin of the site, and with the english posts, this person could improve(no, maybe not to get a job, but to talk to other people)his english learning something new


some ineresing thing, since i entered in this forum, my english spoeaking has improved a bit(i dont know why my speaking) and my witring not much, but improved i think

we should do something like a Non-English zone
there we have subforums with Dutch, French and Brazilian where everybody has to post in the language the subforum is in. VOILA!!! Problem solved

internet trasnlators suck because of bad sentance structure and miss spelled words don't go through at all either.

and this could cause problems if there's 21 different lingos going on at once.
