ok well i got my first car, its a 91' Nissan Silvia S13 K (K for king the top model) cost me $5000aus and its a beast lol. SR20DET under thathood as you can prolly tell some the pics

Cruising on the highway and stuff you're not shifting much anyways. I can get better fuel economy in something with a 5speed than something with a 4 speed auto that doesn't know what the hell it's doing, and tons of people try to drive their automatics fast, and are retarded, lol

number of gears don't matter, it's the drivetrain loss from the power it takes to work the auto.

i know i'm no expert, but from the auto we have, they are working fine, go in higher gear when needed, and go in a lower gear when needed.
when you put the pedall to the metal, they tend to go to high in the revs, but not that much when you go in a manual.

i like my manual, but i sometimes just hit the revlimiter too much. in my parents car i don't. also could save the engine abit more.

but i now will get bashed for not knowing it, so let this rest, and all bash on automatic gears, and pray the lord for the manual, and donate tim, so that he can switch sooner too a manual gearing.....

+1 for fords, the ones I've driven seem to want to downshift so far out of the engine's powerband that all it ends up doing is making a bunch of noise rather than going anywhere.

ok guys its a sad day, i was driving there is a notorious corner near my school. really smooth road it was raining and the road had some oil on it. i lost the rear end, fishtailed down the road then spun off into a pair of coppers logs. Luckily me and the guy in the car weren't hurt. but the silvia has some body damage. as far as i can see there is not structural damage everthing still seems to be straight. here the car now.

f**k you alex, but the thing was i wasn't doin anything stupid, i was driving normaly at the speed limit. i hit a bump in the road and the boost kicked in at the same time and well to traction anymore.

forget about it, you're lucky you got away with what you did, it could of been a whole lot worse.

my auto works fine, and it picks up nicely and can also be driven fast. but i wish my care was more economical cause its a 3.8 litre v6 and it eats the fuel lol. everything prior to the 3.8 i had was 2.0 litre or under.

yeah it my fault, and yes i did mash the brakes but when you have no traction anyways not much happens on the brakes alex. and when i say smooth road i mean the actually serface is smooth, but there is a section where 2 parts are joined and they arnt level. and its not all bad, from what i can see its only body damge nothing to bad. but i can tell you what, from now on im goin to drive it like 20kph under the speed limit from now on in the wet.

you now were the lake g student carpark is well the entry to it, that road. if you turn left out of there, there is a slght kink in the road and like a join in the 2 parts of road.

yeah i know the one. that little kink unsettles the car and gets the wheels spinning mad easy in the wet. u dont even need much throttle lol.

do the speedhumps still get oil poared on them at night? i remember it happening quite often lol. made lunch time pretty fun with all the kids showing off lolz and not to mention stolen cars bieng dumped in the carpark every week haha

it snapped the rear link arm on the flat tires side. and bent the f**k out of the tension rod bracket in the front. i found today when i checked underneath.
