I don't understand why people compare sports car like the GT86 with Ferraris and exotic cars.

That is untrue. You are ignorant. Open up your perspective and you will see things other than Rocket Bunny.

I see a lot more S30 Z in that that Silvia. God is it ugly though. Headlights and taillights are awful. The only thing mildly appealing is the side profile, but the huge wheels and arches almost spoil that as well. I like old cars :?

I came here to say this. I see nothing about silvias on that. And honestly, I don't think it's a good idea to bring back any car with the "silvia" name in it. I mean, it was great on the 80/90s, and they're still great to the day. They were legendary and I think they should be classics, not something made out of plastic and a huge engine and full of modern s**t, nah. The only car I actualy like the remake is the GTR, because it still a monster, just like R34 and the others were back in the day. Just see how IT competes with ferraris and s**t nowdays. Making a new silvia will turn the Silvia name into another generic small sports car. EVEN HYUNDAI make those these days.

TL;DR: Bringing back the Silvia badge is a mistake IMO.

Somehow everyone misunderstood what Toyota and Subaru tried to do with the 86GT, it was meant to be a fun FR car that wouldnt kill you or bore you to death.

I for one have driven one and must say its perfect.

Toyota never wanted to revive the AE86 in anyway they just tried to answer the calls of petrolheads that were fed up with FF cars that everyone hyped it s**tless because it was given a similiar name to one of the biggest icons of the sport of drifting.

I like it, and im gonna like the new Silvia too, because of the fact its one of the few cars with the engine pointed in the right direction and the power in the right place that is accesable to an average guy.

But the discussion of what cars are good and what cars arent is basicly pointless because taste is subjective, some people like hondas, some people like citroens.

ye

brands just make sports car with the purpose of being the best or the fastest, then the stupid comparisons have place

a modded gt86 vs a mclaren, seriously?

also, going fast doesnt depend of the car, its also the drivers task.

Yeh, theres a big difference from having the means to go fast and the ability to go fast.

u can tune and tune and somehow a purpose hypercar would still be faster because its PURPOSE built, the 86 is built to be a fun exciting car nothing less nothing more.

they look pretty nice and drive well, not fast, well.

where I live the socal bro bro bro bros are already invading them and doing what they did with evo's and sti's, turning them into a stereotypical rich-parent-never-worked-a-day-in-their-life-douche-owned vehicle. so I cant even see past dorks with spoilers, shocker stickers and weed club stickers

Basically they're only cool in the right hands, like a ton of other cars. So why the hell are these so special? They are new and all, but there's like tons of better/cooler cars. It just bugs me how people play these up to be the god of new vehicles.

inb4 they're a fanboy car in a year, and everyone says they are overplayed

Yes Toyota went crazy on the advertising of the 86. Did it pay off? Yes. Nothing wrong with that.

they came stock on the FC verts, not sure of the model number but they're cool. I had them on my FC. 5x114.3, 15x7 (not very wide), and pretty high offset I think like +15 maybe? you can get them for hella cheap with tires though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif) and look rad painted, too bad my tires were huge
