So I thought I'd start a thread about mine and my dad's mini project. Basically as some of you may know my dad lost his job, so he couldn't afford to keep his Evo any more and yeah, back to budget motoring for us. With a budget of £1,500 set he went and blew it all on this...

(IMG:http://i55.tinypic.com/20zs6s3.jpg)

2000 Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 Twin Spark, 2 sparks per cylinder n***a.

With the base set we got to sorting out it's foibles and making it look a bit nicer, so far we've changed the front badge from the s**tty original which was nearly all silver from fading (not pictured) to the one in that pic. We've also changed the gearknob to a black and chrome one with the Alfa Romeo emblem on and we've changed the gaiters to black leather ones with red stitching. Also in the past few days we fitted some crystal black side repeaters, some Alpine SXE-1725S Speakers and some Quadrifoglio stickers. Oh and me and Ed took off the 1.8, 156 and T. Spark badges. I'll get more photos tomorrow but here's the mod list so far

Gearknob - done
Gaiters - done
New badge - done
Debadge - done
Quadrifoglio stickers - done
Speakers - done
Smoked side repeaters - done
Pistonheads sticker
Window tints
New numberplates
Fix dents
Fix scuff
Headunit
Wheels
Exhaust

You call a trunk a boot and its nothing like a boot either... actually, I think a shift boot makes more sense then a rear boot. lol. its the boot of the shift knob!

"the term boot originally referred to the step along the side of a carriage where the servants sat or stood. The term "boot" was later applied to the luggage or cargo compartment of a coach, and then logically carried over to the luggage compartment of automobiles"

The new side repeater and Quadrifoglio stickers. Also, just remembered the plastic door/sill trim's cracked on one side, so there's something else for the list

So here's a really, really s**tty photoshop of the Alfa I just did, "for the lulz"

(IMG:http://i52.tinypic.com/29on5ex.jpg)

Some lowering, BBS RMs and smoked lights. I like to think if me and my dad ever come into some money we could have this, looks trick I think.

Some relatively exciting news. It turns out that if I am to inherit this car from my dad when I turn 17, it could be possible for me to insure myself on it. If I can do this, this is how it'll look...

Nah man I've seen Alfas on BBS' before, seeing an Alfa one classic JDM style wheels would be so brilliant. LMs are expensive as f**k anyway, like 2-3 grand a set, that's twice what the car's worth, f**k that s**t
