I'll do both. Tak's Tofu Rocket because his story is more uplifting and it fits the sleeper that i'd want in my own ae86. Between those 2 exact cars, the golf because it looks to be in better condition, and has a nice style to it. Plus I really don't like shaved cars.
Besides those reason, the civic just because I've driven a bunch of 90's honda's and I can never not like them.
