Hey all happy PCA people!

I bought this 320i last Thursday (19th Dec). Checked it out, went down in price and drove it home after about one hour.
The car has a very good interior but I don't like the super old Pioneer stereo, maybe gonna change if I find a cheap one.
On the exterior there quite a lot surface rust, also on some strange spots like on the middle of the trunk. Otherwise it's quite nice in the paint (Montrealblau), just needs a bit of polish (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

Plans at the moment:
Rims - Check
Cheap Coils -
Stereo -
Rust fixing -
Polish -
Front indicators, side indicators and taillights -
Leather seats if there's some cheap ones -
Muffler with two endings -

19th Dec - Some crappy photos just after we got home.
(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/H5i0zto.png)
(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/GpeoiQZ.png)

24th Dec - Bought some nice Alpina wheels as a Christmas gift for myself (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)
(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/HZ3xOvZ.jpg)
(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/0WOgvVr.jpg)
(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/rt0V1Xr.png)

Need proper lowering so he look good! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

I'm not going to update that often unfortunately because I'm only a student (poor) and I'm out of the country 27th Dec to 5th Jan.

/Wille

if you want to go lower for little to no cost I would cut a coil out of the springs. Wouldnt go any more than that though. It should drop you about an inch. Did this to my cobalt until I get coilovers. Granted I cut 3 out haha

It depends on if it was taken care of I guess. My friend's has random weird little issues a lot usually with oil, electrical, and lots of suspension problems. Replace all the bushings in the suspension if you ever have the chance (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Only use OEM or OEM replicas though unless you're planning on upgrading.

Nice car, pretty good condition. Alpina front lip would look good on it. Dunno, does it fit or not. Rust fixing must be first at to-do list.

About coilovers. Cheapest i've seen is TA-Technik. Box says "Made in Germany" but it's really made in China, so i read few bad reviews and few positive feedbacks. Look for XYZ, it's made in Taiwan, imo it's best money/quality offer. Or made coilevers youself, its not difficult.

Problem is that I want the real s**t and not fake, so about the Alpina lip... Naah (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif) Too expensive and I'm probably going to snowdrift etc. But yeah it would look good (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I found some very cheap coilovers which should be better quality than TA etc. for £185 / $303 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Awesome car!
If I was you, I wouldn't lower it too much, I think it's perfect how you PS'd it. You could maybe put on the OEM M-Package, then it will be perfect!

But again, very nice car!

Woo, another BMW guy. I really envy those Alpinas hah... They'd probably sit perfectly on mine, as they're also 5x120.

The bimmer is looking clean tho (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

BTW what's the fuel economy on that. I have M50B25 and it's like between 8 and 12... I wonder how much more economic that M50B20 is (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toung.gif)

Yeah single Vanos (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif) I don't want to remove rear seats, carpets etc. I want it to be a fully normal car except for the ''stance''. When I moved the car an hour ago i noticed that the front wheels roll against the inner wheel wells (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif) Me so happy! QUOTE (W. Lundberg @ Dec 27 2013, 10:18 AM) *
Yeah Alpinas look good on all Bemmers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif) The fuel economy is around 0.85L/10km (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The sound is okay, I'll change the rear muffler and maybe remove the middle muffler for more aggressive sound (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif) And no, the 150hp is NOT cool, okay? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)

Ahh so it's basically 8,5 to 100km, so not so big difference... Therefore get m50b25... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)

But yeah, the sound on that is soo sweet when it gets past 4000 rpm. I remember when I took my car to the racetrack, I used to delay braking at the main straight just because I could hear the engine revs longer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)

If you're putting white indicators on front you must get rid of the amber on the rear too. Which I think it's a mistake, looks damn good like that

I think that the orange lights look alright but the white will give the car a much newer look, almost a tiny facelift. I've found very cheap indicators for front and sides and will try those first. If it looks good I'll go for some other tail lights.

also, if you are low on cash, don't rush on buying a muffler, it's better to wait until you can afford some of better quality

I think I'm going for the black tinted instead of white. Why? It's a dark color car and I'm going to spray the grill black.

buy some with less "altezza" look on it. I mean, without the smooth lens. Those are really riced up

more like this

The lights are brand new from good german shops (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif) So yes, they should work. I read a review on one of the shops (http://www.ad-tuning.de) and everyone said that it was great service, a lot of products (which is very true), everything was working and it was good quality.
Unfortunately I wont buy these now. I have to wait a little because of the money -.-
But my birthday is soon (March 16th), so I'll hopefully get the lights then (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)

Got my clear indicators yesterday and started installing them today, but of course the rain stopped me from installing the front indicators. But the side indicators is installed and works properly. No, we don't have a garage big enough to even open the doors inside of it, if it isn't a Mini (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toung.gif)
Aaaaand because of the rain there's no pics...

Went out today and started the change of indicators. First indicator (left) went superb. Took of the indicator house very easy, took off the lamp, tried to install the new orange lamp which of course didn't fit... The guy at my local car store said that it would fit, but nope. Installed the original clear lamp and the new clear house for now. White indicators FTW!
When I took of the house and started installing the white house the lamp wont fit because of burrs in the plastic. Now walk into the workshop (like ''What up?! I got a big c**k!''), start the dremel, perfect. Starting to install the house but of course, it doesn't snap to place. It doesn't fit to 100% either, but what the hell, it's China s**t -.-

Plus in the future I'm going to buy the angeleyes I talked about in some of the posts before.

I have a suggestion, I like my cars how I like them, no person can tell me other wise, if you like the modifications you're going to make to your car then be happy, it's your car build it how you want to build it. If it makes you happy, then do what you'd like. You can put it on 28" billet wheels, I might not like it but if you're happy, then that's all that matters (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

Sorry for being so inactive with my project, but when you're a student without job this is the result

I've cleaned the engine bay, again. Much better this time. I've also removed the ugly, dirty and scabby bonnet mat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/sa0lrCR.jpg)

I turn 18 in 16 days and I'm hoping to get some cheap ass coils or new lights around the car. When I get my driving license I'll get a job and therefor more updates (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

Checked my front brakes today (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)
Not done that much, just checked how the brake disks and brake pads are feeling (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)
Btw, the disks are rusty because I don't drive the car atm, no driving license = no driving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/EuvyQJe.jpg)
Brushed the wheelhub

(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/XjEyJuu.jpg)
I'm thinking of painting the calipers black or montrealblau like the car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/DHZWTha.jpg)
The bolts to the calipers, before after

(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/glYd1CN.jpg)
Greased the bolts

(IMG:http://i.imgur.com/I7rNjNi.jpg)
Greased the whatever it's called in english, the brake pads should slide smooth now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

I've got the final writing and driving test on the 18th, I hope I'll get my license (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)

Yeah, well the problem isn't the snow, it's the salt on the roads when it's snow and ice on them :/ Wouldn't be a problem if they removed the salt :/

Greased the whatever it's called in english, the brake pads should slide smooth now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)

Yeh, but you forgot to clean them, with rust like that brake dust and other gunk can get dug down in the uneven surface that the rust creates and might increase the chance to having dragging brakes.
