Most aftermarket Evo exhausts keep the dual set-up so that still wouldn't work.

I hope your joking. lol Nope. I plan on making my own exhaust system for my civic when I do my swap. The only parts i'm going to buy pre made are the header and the muffler. Everything in between will be fabbed by me. My camaro has an almost completely home made exhaust. The only thing that is straight from a factory is the mufflers, which I hardly use anyways. The headers weren't made for the car, so they were cut into pieces and reshaped to fit. And between the headers and the mufflers is just 6 feet of straight 3" pipe welded to the mufflers. |

Strictly performance, you can make some decent stuff yourself. It just usually isn't legal and sounds like crap. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

It usually isn't legal because most people that do it aren't doing it for a street car.
The sound thing, a lot of that comes from what muffler you use. |

Ah yeah, I was talking about the ENTIRE exhaust being home-made. In other words: straight pipes! lol
EDIT: my car actually sounds ridiculous in a good way with no muffler... but it would just be way too loud for my taste. lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NyG2mWOIxM That guy is actually selling that custom cat-back |

You can't run a car with no headers. It will destroy the cylinder head.
It must be open headers or zoomie headers. |
