haha, nahhhh, just shortend front beams and some times beetle trans with reduction boxes

well, my friends dad has a late 80s, early 90s civic, just sitting there in his drive way.

(i dont have pics but it looks like an abandend version of this with paint pealing on the hood and flat tires.)
(IMG:http://www.atozautolights.com/images/AutoPhotos/HOCI8891.jpg)

he said he would give it to me for free. but he has to pay the loan off it for the title and stuff. but its a good car, all it needs is a battery and new tires.
whaddya think? not bad for free?

well, not much updates, other than a change in plans. pretty much what i have planned for the civic is..

-I get the car.
-i bring it home.
-I get a manual for it.
-Get my grandmas battery from her car that is broken.
-Try to get car running.

now depending if i am able to get it running or not

It Runs
-Get new tires
-Drive it till my bus is running.
-and possibly lower it by cutting sections out of the springs.
-Put some stickers i found and will print out

(IMG:http://www.grfxpstore.com/attached_files/2008/2390/pedo_prv.gif)

It Dosent Run
-try to sell for some extra cash for the bus

i dont wanna spend much money at all on this car so i have an very tight budget on it.

and while at a show last weekend, a guy who had previously owned my bus had brought a bumper to us to repair and to straighten out, and we believe that it was my original front bumper. So im thinking about making him an offer on it.

get that ish running before you drop in a stick lol
If you can't get it running what's the point of salvaging a new tranny?
lot of hard work for nothing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toung.gif)
Tires might be pretty cheap fo your car too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/toothygrin.gif)
Some 80s compacts have a weird negative charge cable that runs to the battery, make sure the new battery will be compatible :3
but sounds like you got a sweet deal dude.
