Sup. There hasn't been a ton of progress on my car, since I've mostly done engine work, trying to just get it operating normal.

I sorted out my suspension, I thought it was blown in front. But the previous owner did something wrong, and I ended up just putting the car down as far as it would go after messing with adjustments.



Recently painted my vert wheels black. The previous owner painted them white, and they looked awful, the paint was terrible lol.



Here's the ugly side of my car. The dude before me had tape on the fender where the dent is... so I took that off and there is bare metal underneath! yay... oh well I need a new fender and front bumper anyways.



And I need new tires with a smaller sidewall


And I need spacers The rears are all sunken.

There's a lot of random ghetto stuff about this car lel, and I must fix it


My car had a really bad flooding problem. It had a kill switch installed already, which would relieve all the fuel pressure to the engine to stop it from flooding, but even that didn't work if I left it sitting for long enough. So I thought for sure it was my injectors, and I could see gas pouring over the frontmost injector so I replaced the o-rings and it still happened. So I switched the rear one to the front, still happened. So I took my fuel rail off and gave it a closer look and realized there was a small crack, allowing fuel to drip over the injector.

Currently I am waiting for two fuel rails to come. Should be here tomorrow.

Nice ride man, glad you got the one you really wanted since the start. Wheels look a lot better black imo, if you make those tires bright with silicone or something, tires wouldn't look that massive. I miss some motor/interior shots tho!

No aero yet, at least until I get wheels. For now I can find super cheap bumper+fender+lip on rx7club.
Then get a dmax hood and 17's

I hope you plan a very careful engine maintenance, because It may bring you problems when will have a lot of use, especially because it will be difficult to maintain the seal and rotary motion causes unnecessary vibrations.

Otherwise is looking good man, deserves a new suspension and lower it!

Thanks man! Engine was rebuilt, pulled amazingly happy throughout the high RPM's. And it had coilovers, they were maxxed they just didn't go that low plus I was on 15's with huge tires.

I'm gonna get another rx7, just not that one lol. The previous owner f**ked me & never registered the car and the guy before him didn't either so they left me with a bunch of fees and it wouldn't pass smog. I don't have a job yet back home so yeah. It wasn't getting driven cause it was illegal and I didn't want to get my car impounded.


But new car will come soon. My friend's and I were getting ready to move into a house together but it might not happen now. Have to see what comes up. But sadly I need money for rent before I can buy a car :/ So I need to really reeeally get a f**king job.

this guy i know had a vert but it was all f**ked so he swapped all the cool s**t off it onto a coupe but its still rad. FCs are uncommon you should get another

I'm not sure what those wheels are but i'm pretty sure they cost nearly as much as the car. lol. If you really want to get it at a discount see if he will sell it to you with stock wheels or something.

but anyways I went to LA recently to pay a ticket, they told me it wasn't in the system.

I just went online and it showed up, and apparently I missed my court date. So it was $716 for bail plus $206 for the ticket.

actually, if you executed it properly, I'm sure you'd have a bunch of people who'd love it and think ur a cewl dewd

If the body lines can all mold together and it doesn't look like a hodgepodge of parts it would still be cool and respectable.

I think the biggest failing with the one posted is that it just looks like a missile. Like matching paint or plastidip and not having mangled body panels would make it look 10x better IMO

Yes exactly! I would probably mold the headlights and grill into aftermarket fenders and stock hood, cause I'm pretty sure the 5 series fenders and hood would be huge

But the laurel showed was also a work in progress, idk if he ever finished it, but I think it would have looked good all said and done. With nothing destroyed and all.

Just got a new job and will be doing a lot of driving for it, my 350hp V8 mustang getting 15 miles to the gallon isnt gonna cut it anymore so its time to move on.

Which do you guys recommend? I am really looking more for good MPG and riding comfort then anything, I had my fun with my Mustang.

I'm happy doe for once. I got a new job/apprenticeship building hot rods. I am sick though so I go back Monday, here is the only picture I have so far. 49 Merc. Dude has two more Mercury's, one is a woody, and a Ford woody he built for his wife. two have LS1's and the main one has corvette everything. This is the one I was working on (everything, learning body, paint, cutting, fab, eeeevverything):

Anyways will be saving up for FC again.
Kinda starting over cause they wont allow a court date for my ticket and FTA they f**ked me on. better than losing my lisense.

Unless I can find an FD shell for a reasonable price.

What's a reasonable price? Usually the only shells worth looking into sell for like $5k and are listed at $6 or $7k. Best deal I found was a silver touring model with red interior, running with manual for $7k I think? Low miles too but I passed because I didn't have time to deal replacing the seals (it had a slight water leak).

Honestly tho if you like the FC that much just forget the FD. You can find some damn nice ones for the price of a bottom of the barrel FD.

I would really like to get an FC first, so I can drive my own car. The FD would be a project. And exactly you can buy a nice FC or something else for the price of just a shell of an FD so. The FD I'd look for is a non running one owned by some oblivious dude who doesnt know s**t who wants to get rid of it for cheap.

And I'm still up in the air about what I want. I have a few cars/trucks in mind.



Literally found this s**t on craigslist lol. Keep your eye out for something like this! The experience and knowledge & resume you gain from this is awesome. After this I'm looking to get a job working in a shop, building rad cars.

Got back today. Some might be able to tell how much better the smoothing/paint removal looks now. And holy f**k it takes a long time to remove s**t that hasn't been touched for 60 f**kING YEARS.
